AA Works in My Home

THIS WAS the question I faced: 'Daddy, do you have to go to a meeting tonight?" I must admit it was not the first time it had been asked. Early in my sobriety, when the only thing I could do was not drink and go to as many meetings as possible, this question did not come up. The reason is simple: My two little girls were ill at ease when I was around, and did not know how I would react to any sudden movements or demands. So I thought the question showed some progress--until I heard one simple statement after a meeting.
