Just One of the Boys

BEING THE only female member in my group who makes meetings regularly has its interesting aspects. When we moved here from the East a year ago, I gleefully looked for the little slip of paper with the addresses I had gotten from the AA directory. The first number I dialed rewarded me with a recording telling me, "That number is no longer in service." The second number brought joy to this old alcoholic's heart. I could find some new mommie at the meeting at Mt. Olive Church.
