Time to put toys away

A problem is like a toy to the alcoholic. It is played with and tossed around here and there, especially when it's brand-new. The person finally gets tired of it and puts it down. In the AA program, that is called "letting it go." Only then can there be any peace of mind. The Third Step--"Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him"--comes when this is experienced.
