How it works for us today

Our members were quite interested to read the letter about Big Book meetings (July 1977 Grapevine) and some of the difficulties encountered. We have a closed discussion meeting based on the Big Book that has now been running for three and a half years. We break into groups of ten or less in order to keep a very personal and informal structure. Each person will read a paragraph from the book and comment on how that applies to his or her life today. Then it will be opened up for general discussion. When that, is exhausted, the next person takes a paragraph, and so on. The object is not to interpret or modify the Big Book, but to find out how it works for us today.
