Spiritual Progress

THERE I WAS feeling just great and marveling at the many joyous events of sober AA living in the five years since my last drink. In the beginning, I was sure I could not live without a drink, and I lasted through each twenty-four hours with much anxiety. Things are more comfortable now. I reward myself with lots of meetings, paying strict attention and listening intently to others who are successful in the program.
