A Touch of Wonder

A Touch of Wonder came my way early the other morning. I went out to get the paper and found myself in a pink fog. A heavy frost had coated the trees, grass, and bushes with an icy glaze, which the rising sun had turned to pink. A gauzy pink mist clothed the distant hills as the sun slowly rose behind them. The effect was short-lived, but it made my day. I realized I would never have seen this if I had been drinking. In the first place, I would not have been up so early. If I had been, I would probably have thought I was in my usual soupy gray fog. I might not have seen the pink glow around me.
