I Don't Want Any of That AA Stuff

Strictly for skid row, he thought--until he found what AAs are really like

STOMACH TIED in knots, nerves tangled, head unable to complete one thought, I even suffered the embarrassment of not being able to write my own name legibly. But I'd have a few drinks and the pain would ease and the euphoria would return--for a while. Then the blackouts again. This hurt. This was not living.
