Being an alcoholic and drug addict, I should not be free. I went to my first AA meeting at the request of the U.S. Navy. "Go, or find a job elsewhere" was the kind of hard-line "request" that I could understand. I went, I listened, and I kept coming back--ninety meetings in forty-five days.
