I first encountered this "hold hands" procedure in Denver in 1975 when I attended a discussion group at the International Convention. Because I also consider this to be a "prayer-meeting approach"--as C. R. says in the October issue--and because I had twenty-one years of continuous sobriety, I did not hesitate to walk away from the hand-holders.
