Among penguins or palm trees

I am an alcoholic and drug addict, and have been sober, free from drugs and alcohol, for just over six years. I had my sixth birthday here in Antarctica. Since October 1978, I have been a member of Dry Dock 29 Summer Group, Antarctica. This has been the greatest experience in my life, and I owe it all to AA. Our group has grown from four to eight members, and we welcome visitors who arrive from time to time. Some weeks, we have five or six meetings, but usually at least two a week.
