Old Ideas

AROUND THE TABLES, I heard a man say, "There are always going to be people I dislike, and people who dislike me." Silently, I agreed. And then it hit me: Why had I agreed? I had agreed because it was an old idea. If I have learned anything in AA, it is not to accept every old idea as being the truth.
