My son-in-law-to-be, an optometrist, approached me about his patients. "Dad, some of these people show up for eye exams reeking with booze, and some can really hardly see even at nine-thirty in the morning. How can I tell these people about AA, since I'm not a member?" The thought that flashed through my mind was the CPC committee--cooperation with the professional community.
