Sense and nonsense on the road to recovery

AGAIN ON SPORTS, J. D. of South Dakota sent in a joke we've always liked, about an inebriated hunter lost in the woods. After the panic wore off a little, he remembered reading that lost persons should fire shots in the air at intervals to guide rescuers. But after a few hours had passed, the poor chap said to himself worriedly, "I sure hope they find me soon. I've used up nearly all my arrows."
