Here I sit, one year and seven months after my last drunk, in the shoe store where I worked when I first came into the AA program. In between, I was politely asked to leave by Dad, got put on unemployment, and made a lot of AA meetings. I told myself I hated the job anyway. Meetings turned my life around, for today I'm back doing that job again.
