Part I of this article (July Grapevine}, from a talk by Bill at a New York City AA meeting in 1955, told of twelfth-stepping and early meetings at the Brooklyn home of Bill and Lois, "hassles" over the writing of the Big Book, financial risks in getting it printed, and, after its publication, optimistic publicity plans--which suddenly fell through.
