MY FIRST surrender was the easy one. Four years ago, I knew that alcohol had me thoroughly whipped, that my life was a total mess because of it. After all, waking up in a police station after demolishing my car during a blackout was only the latest episode in a drinking career that cost me my health, ray sanity, and my business, and nearly cost me my home and marriage.
