AA people have shown me by example that they have love in their lives. When I hear a member say, "I have to drive my wife to the hairdresser" or "I picked up some doughnuts for the children on my way home," I know that's the example of love I need to follow every day. The big deals I can handle--Mother's Day, anniversaries, Christmas, etc.--but it's the little, everyday gestures of love that I forget to give--a look exchanged, a nod of approval, all those little signs of love that I pass up giving to my wife and children, every day.
