I didn't quit drinking until I was fifty years old. I had been in jail at least thirty times. Last November, I had thirty-one years of sobriety. I am eighty-one now, and my doctor tells me I am in very good shape. I don't go to as many meetings as I did at first, but I still go. I have never heard a bad AA talk.
