We just returned from a five-week visit in the Netherlands. Took in a great number of meetings. Here we are, seven or eight thousand miles from home; we drop in on a meeting, state our first names, saying we are alcoholics, and no membership cards to show. Our membership is only by voice coming from our hearts. This makes it so easy--we don't worry about taking along a membership card. It cannot be defaced or lost as long as we do not take that first drink.
