Where is peace?
By candlelight, on a stormy night. In a rundown old house in a tiny Midwest village. It's 3:00 AM. The serenity born of a beautiful day. A day without a drink or a drug. A day of fellowship. Sixty miles ago, I attended a midnight meeting. A dozen pleasantly tired folks trying to help themselves by helping each other. Alive. At peace. A smile from someone who cares is the gift of life. A comfortable feeling as deep as love; it means arrival.
