When I found AA, I was in a county jail. At first, I refused to believe I was an alcoholic. I merely went to the meetings for the coffee. I was twenty years old and had been drinking for seven years. I had gotten into trouble with the law numerous times, and I finally realized that every time I got arrested, I was drunk.
