A fixer reforms

My old grandpappy used to say about things on the farm: "If it ain't broke--don't fix it." If I'd only had the sense to leave my body and mind alone, I am reasonably sure the flaws in my human mechanism would have righted or adjusted themselves. But no! I had to manufacture an imaginary world in which almost everything required my corrective attention. If things didn't go right, or didn't please me, I always managed to "fix" them--whether or not they were "broke." Accept them? I couldn't do that!
