Six years ago, prior to seeking aid from AA, I wondered how on earth a collection of drunks could possibly be of any help to me. Considering the highly educated medical profession and the wealth of money behind governmental institutions, what could AA possibly do that these professionals could not do better? These and other questions entered my alcoholic brain. I resigned myself to AA out of depression.
