SUCH MISUNDERSTANDINGS do seem to occur, as witness this anecdote from the Silver Dollar about two tipsy gents from skid row who wandered into the city zoo and joined a group of people following a guide around. Eventually, they reached a cage that housed a kangaroo. "Here," announced the attendant, "we have a native of Australia."
