Fathers and sons

Very recently--on my first AA anniversary--I found my thirty-four-year-old son, after ten years of searching. He is living in a flophouse on Chicago's skid row. He is alcoholic and has been drinking since he was eighteen. I'm told there is some brain damage. He has lost his will to live and chosen the slowest suicide known to man.
