Who's Responsible?

THE TIME was 7:30 PM; the date, August 27, 1969.I was sitting on a barstool waiting for a cab to take me to meet a guy who was to take me to my first AA meeting. That evening was the end of a five-week drunk, which was the end of a thirty-year drinking career. What had happened on that day to give me the one requirement for acceptance of this program of AA--a sincere desire to quit drinking--I do not know. Today, I give credit to a loving God as I understand Him.
