Once Over Lightly

CONTINUING with the topic of change, W. D. of Virginia relates a story about a long-winded AA speaker, who suddenly began cutting his talks shorter. When a friend asked why, the AA explained that, while waiting to step to the podium one Wednesday night, he overheard a member of the group ask, "What follows this speaker?" Another voice answered, "Thursday!"
