HIS GOOD DEED backfired, and that brings to mind the soldier who returned from war to find that his wife had been unfaithful. He went out and got drunk and then bought a pistol and bullets at a pawnshop. Returning home, he loaded the gun, aimed it at his temple, and announced to his wife, "I'm going to punish you. I'm going to kill myself."
