At Home in a Group

I WAS RELUCTANT to look for sobriety, and the last place I wanted to look for it was in AA. I truly felt that someday I could (and would) just quit drinking all by myself, when and if I wanted to. I was completely against the idea of my right to drink being taken away from me by a group of complete strangers.
