I could not have achieved comfortable sobriety without AA. I managed daily meetings for the first two and a half years of sobriety--until I began to get sicker and sicker on tobacco smoke. Because smoke-free meetings are few and far between, I rarely attend a meeting now, and I miss the comfort.
