I CALLED MY friend one summer night with a big problem. AAs had been telling me, "Unload and share when something bothers you," and I had my person picked for the job. Just listening to this friend's wisdom at the meetings during those early sober weeks had convinced me that he could "fix" anything--he had it all together.
