'Special' groups--four views

Some of us come to AA with "problems other than alcohol" that preclude us from hearing the AA message unless our "other" problem is also addressed. I believe that many who think this other problem is special do get our message sooner if it comes from their peers. Many do branch out into "regular" (whatever that is) AA meetings after the first few months. I also like to say (as I have heard others say) that our Big Book is a "toolbox" with a "wrench to fit any nut."
