First Things First

OVER A PERIOD of time, the slogans of the AA program have taken on deeper meaning in my life. As my way of life has changed, so also has my view of each slogan. After I found my way to the doors of AA, via skid row, our slogan "First Things First" kept me more than busy remembering that the first thing for me was to stay off the booze for just twenty-four hours. My being able to tell you about that today tells me that it worked.
