Sense and nonsense on the road to recovery

REGARDING ANOTHER FORM of travel: B. L. of Illinois sent in a tale about Old Jud, who, on his ninetieth birthday, was offered a free airplane ride over the village where he had lived all his life. It was his first flight; but, fortified by several jolts of corn liquor, he made it. Afterward, he was asked whether he'd been afraid the plane might fall.
