From make-believe to belief
Early in 1950, when I was first introduced to AA and the Twelve Steps to recovery, I was very fouled up--mentally, physically, financially, etc. There were only three Steps I could accept--the First, Fourth, and Tenth. At that time, I was quite agnostic. God (as I choose to call Him now) and I weren't on speaking terms--not His fault, but my narrow-mindedness.
