Once Over Lightly

THANKS TO B. C. of New York for a version of a joke we used years ago but think is worth telling again. It deals with a young man who moved to a large city to work. About a year later, a letter from his mother mentioned that the eighteen-year-old daughter of some new neighbors would be visiting his city soon, and it would be kind of him to take her to dinner and a movie.
