STORIES LIKE THAT seem to contradict the old claim that alcoholics are above average in mentality. This tale does the same. It deals with a somewhat sloshed man who was talking with a woman acquaintance. She was holding a dog on a leash. The chap kept edging away from the animal until finally the lady said, "Don't be afraid. He won't bite you."
