Passing Fancies

I STOOD ON a corner of one of the most renowned streets in the world yesterday and watched the crowd pass. It was made up of a riotous and colorful collection of characters. They were wearing everything from red mackinaws to business suits. I was about to go into my AA meeting, where I knew the clothes would be plainer. Before I left the corner, I saw one middle-aged man wearing a jet-black leather jacket with rhinestones on the back spelling "Complete Chaos."
