In January, I received a letter from the IRS, telling me I was to be audited. As the auditor was perusing the checks, she commented: "I guess your husband was interested in wine." Puzzled, I asked to see the check she was referring to, and it turned out to be my canceled check for a Grapevine subscription. When I explained to her what it was, we both had a good laugh. (Incidentally, my husband isn't the AA member; I am, with thirteen wonderful years.)
