Opinions on 'street language'

Anyone who wants what we have isn't likely to be driven away from AA just because one person uses some foul language. Maybe they won't come back to that meeting. Second, in my experience, street language is heard more from newcomers than from those who have been around awhile. Third, when such language is inappropriate or offensive, it seems to me the chairman should explain that it is unacceptable at that meeting. Or after the meeting, a member of the group should quietly explain to the person that street language is inappropriate. The person using it may not be aware that he or she is offending anyone.
