I was hurt and appalled to see a cartoon in the July Grapevine portraying women who are working for equal rights as hostile drunks. I know many women who have joined AA or are new members, struggling to hold on to sobriety, who believe they have a right to equal rights in this country. This cartoon may turn many away from AA. You have also violated AA's nonpolitical status.
