The word spreads

I accepted the responsibility of public information chairperson in Fort McMurray and am getting good coverage in our local paper. Here, it is estimated that one out of every three drivers is alcohol-impaired. AA cooperates with outside agencies in town. Our Public Information Committee does a super job of keeping information on AA in the hospital, library, doctors' offices, beauty shops, barbershops, schools, and the Manpower office. As well, we carry the message to outlying communities and "inside the walls" at the road camp. A group from AA and other concerned agencies gathered at our local college to share information with fifty students who are studying social agencies and other groups and their function in society.
