All Things to All People? No!

Sponsoring a nonalcoholic drug addict didn't work out

IN RECENT years, the subject of the nonalcoholic addict has been discussed often and heatedly in AA. This concern for fellow human beings who suffer from another form of addiction speaks well of our attitude of love. But it has taken me some time and experience to even begin to understand the principles involved. They have been hidden from me only because I was too proud to look. My alcoholism, however, demands that I either walk toward the light with my eyes open--or fall into the darkness of being drunk.
