Creative Obstinacy

ONE CHARACTERISTIC already in me in childhood was avoiding unpleasant things. I learned to be faithful to my selfishness, and I obstinately protected it with determination. One of the reasons for my problems was selfishness. There was will, but misuse of it caused continuous crashes with life. And I thought I could find something essential in things which my imagination brought up.
