ANOTHER CASE of misunderstanding came from J. A. of Pennsylvania, telling of a sozzled citizen who had drifted into an art gallery where there was an exhibit of abstract paintings. The lush, after squinting at picture after picture of daubs, blobs, and splashes of colors, complained, "I don't understand any of this stuff."
