Out of jail and into sobriety, he did it
I AWOKE IN the county jail, unable to put together where I was or how I had gotten there. The jailer opened the door to my cell and seemed to come toward me in slow motion. He took me by the shoulders and stood me up and said, "Let's go." I let him push me out of the cell and into a big room, where I just sat numb, convinced that I was headed for a padded cell.
