AS SURE AS God made little green apples, I hate cliches. But I'm here to tell you that sure as shootin', before I got into the AA program, I was really skating on thin ice. I was always in hot water. My friends called me on the carpet and gave me the gate. The judge threw the book at me, and my life wasn't worth a hill of beans.
