Money--It's Not a Dirty Word

AT THE END of my first AA meeting, an announcement was made: "We have no dues or fees, but we do have expenses." And a basket was passed. In the basket were a lot of one-dollar bills, so I put one in also. Nothing was said about what kind of expenses a group had; there was no indication that you could put anything but a dollar bill in the basket.
