ON THE TOPIC OF SCENTS: A boozer ran out of liquor one night after all the joints had closed. To get through the desperate hours, he drank all the lemon extract and other liquid flavorings in the kitchen, then consumed his aftershave lotion. Toward dawn, he was driven to drink all his wife's perfumes for their alcohol content.
