Hurtful gossip
I took a new person I was sponsoring out to coffee one evening after a meeting. The talk about certain members was loud and negative. The new person whispered in my ear, "Do they talk about me this way when I'm not here?" I had a lot of explaining to do, trying to convince this person that they did not.
